Name: Greg Mimms - Club founder/male team captain

Preferred race distance: Half marathon.

Favourite race: Dublin Marathon. The route was great, but the Irish spectators were absolutely amazing. A fantastic atmosphere.

Why do you run?: The headspace it gives you, and the sense of freedom when exploring new places.

Favourite post long run meal?: Cheese on toast....and lots of it.

Name: Kelly Lawson - Female team captain.

Preferred race distance: 5k and half marathon.

Favourite race: Cardiff Half Marathon.

Why do you run?: I took up running in 2016 to have some 'me time' and meet new friends. I moved to Exeter in 1998 and anxiety got in the way of meeting new friends. Running has really changed my life for the better and have made some great friends.  

Favourite post long run meal?: Roast dinner.

Preferred race distance: Half marathon.

Favourite race: Torbay Half Marathon

Why do you run?: Fitness and mental health.

Favourite post long run meal?: Pizza.

Preferred race distance: For me it's 10k.

Favourite race: Probably Burrator 10k.

Why do you run?: I did the Couch 2 5k for health reasons as I was really overweight, but I didn't realise the mental health reasons until later.

Favourite post long run meal?: I don't really have one. What ever grabs my attention.

Favourite race: Land and Sand 5k.

Why do you run?: For fitness and mental health.

Favourite post long run meal?: All the food.

Favourite race: Copper Trail Coast to Coast.

Why do you run?: To explore and to feel less guilty about the food and alcohol I consume.

Favourite post long run meal?: Fried chicken and a cold beer.

Preferred race distance: 5k or 10k.

Favourite race: Jolly Running's Celebration Caper or Extremely Jolly Christmas Run.

Why do you run?: I have met and ran with some amazing people. Running brings us all together, no matter what walk of life we come from.

Favourite post long run meal?: Definitely KFC or a Big Mac (sorry it's not healthy). I'm the only person who doesn't like pizza.

Why do you run?: I run for head space, camaraderie and exploring the great outdoors.

Favourite post long run meal?: Chocolate milk and Haribo.

Preferred race distance: Half marathon.

Favourite race: Reading Half Marathon 2011, my firs and best.

Why do you run?: It's my thinking time, something I can share with other people and to beat my Dads PB's that he set in his 50's.

Favourite post long run meal?: Pizza, pasta of anything to pile the carbs back on.
